I recently stayed for two nights where I truly appreciated the fabulous location just a short walk from the charming market town of Wallingford, as well as the beautiful river views from the lovely garden seating area right next to the Thames, which made my strolls around the area even more enjoyable. As a solo traveler, I found the room to be cozy and well-furnished, with private access and thoughtful amenities that really enhanced my experience.

lovely Summer House, stunning views of the river, beautiful garden room
A bit cramped if you're planning to stay longer than a night!!! The shared front garden area could benefit from more privacy for those wishing to relax without feeling exposed to passersby!!!

Family with children, you'd love this place
Honestly, I was made to feel like family for the time I was there, that's rare man! The room was exceptionally clean and all furnishings were modern and high quality, Annie and Tim really nailed it on that front.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but the experience makes it worth it.

Warm hosts and a delightful stay
My stay was absolutely wonderful! The owners, Tim and Annie, were incredibly welcoming and made me feel like family throughout my visit. The room was spotless and beautifully furnished, and I loved having access to the lovely garden area by the Thames. It's a perfect getaway for anyone looking to relax in Wallingford. If I had to suggest an improvement, perhaps a bit more variety in the breakfast items could elevate the experience even further.

Beautiful ambiance in a cozy room. Very clean and thoughtfully decorated. Only downside, a bit cramped if staying longer. Fishing nearby is a bonus.

lovely stay with a few minor quirks
The decor in our room was exquisite it really created a cozy atmosphere. We appreciated the generous supply of snacks and drinks which added a personal touch to our stay.
The annex can be a bit noisy at times due to its proximity to the main house.

The Superior Double or Twin Room offers a comfy setup that’s perfect for a night in. With a prime location just a short stroll from the town center, the walk in was scenic, enhancing the whole experience.
While everything felt great overall, I did notice that the room lacked some soundproofing—a bit of outside noise crept in at times. the amenities, while adequate, didn’t feel particularly luxurious, making it somewhat basic for those expecting a bit more indulgence.
